Artificial Grass:

Golf

Why has choosing artificial grass for golf fields more advantages?

Whether artificial grass in golf fields is profitable or not has risen as a doubt many times in different forums.

Maybe the question we really have to ask ourselves is, are natural grass courses worthwhile?

Some may think that we use artificial grass to replace natural lawn. This is not true -- we use it as a solution for spaces where natural grass installment is not as easy as we may think.

Worthwile investment

Fortunately, the idea of using artificial turf as a solution appeared. This solution can be seen in fields where the younger ones practice, as well as in fields which used to have to be shot down due to heavy frosts.

A fact is that we cannot omit talking about maintenance and installment costs when it comes to constructions of golf fields.

That way we compare natural grass to artificial turf for golf courses, and we conclude confirming that artificial grass is more expensive than the natural one, although its maintenance is much less expensive.

It obviously needs of maintenance, but it comes to nothing compared to what natural grass requires.

Maybe a specific example with statistical data can help you understand what this entails.

A golf field installed with artificial grass is 1, 2 or ever 5 times more expensive than a natural one. However, the maintenance of a natural grass golf course is 6 times more expensive than an artificial one.

Let us just think in all the money saved from staff, watering and the increasing demand of golf as a sport.

Artificial turf is in possession of another advantage which is that once the surface is installed, it is ready for its use in which case natural grass requires over a year to be available to play.
